What Ford Bechtelar doesn't like about Il Gabbiano Ristorante & Catering:
Four people arrived for 7 pm reservations on Jan 14, 2017. Ourselves and U.S. guests. Dinners not served until 9 pm. Had to ask for bread. Beer served without a beer glass. Had to ask for one. Had to go to bar and ask for the check. Long waits for ordering. Long waits for salads. No explanations or apologies. Although wait was long no one asked about 2nd drinks. Came here for a surprise 50th dinner of 9 peopleIt was a 6 course family style meal and it was excellent.
Have dined at numerous Italian restaurants and this was by far the best most authentic since I was in Italy for a month. The calamari was perfectly grilled, not breaded and deep fried. The seafood linguine was loaded with shrimp, calamari, muscles, lobster. This entre is so large I could not even finish the delicious fresh homemade linguine. My friend had chicken marsalla which was the best she has ever experienced. The caesar salad could have had more garlic and anchovy flavour but that is judt our personal preference. Tiramisu and lemonchello capped a perfect dinner.
Love this place! Romantic atmosphere and delicious food. My husband and I love coming here for a fancy night out.
