What a fabulous meal! The owner/chef came to our table to share the days specials and to take our order what a classy touch! We were a table of 6 and we were all thrilled with our appetizers and entrees. It was our 1st visit definitely not our last! View all feedback.
What Mirella Major doesn't like about Cafe La Scala:
Food was very good but the chef was very impatient with his newly hired untrained staff. For most of the night they were in tears. I could say so much more but I am just going to say to the chef that you were the cause of the chaos not your servers. View all feedback.
We booked reservations online early to go to the movies. We received confirmation but when we arrived they had no idea we were coming. It was just the chef there. He was 'strange, excentric '. We all stood around debating whether to leave or not. But because we didn 't have enough time to find another place, we stayed. The server came in a few minutes later and saved the day. He quickly got the ball rolling and we felt welcomed and it was back on track. The chef actually does 'Chef ' very very well. The food was so good. We enjoyed the food and do recommendations going, just maybe not so early .
This was my first time trying Cafe La Scala. The owner was super relaxed and you could tell he really loved his food. He asked us what we felt like eating and would make something special just for us off menu. The service was great and the food was superb! Great dining experience!
We loved this restaurant. It didn't have the most stylish or classy decor but the food was top notch. And the owner is an absolute card who gives everyone his best.
We went early and were the only ones there. Owner was very personable and welcoming. Food is great the sauce on the dumplings is a must try. Will go again.
I practice regularly on their pool table, which is free, so whenever they're open you feel like avoiding society, you can go knock the cue ball around a little bit. The place is a lower-ground establishment, so it tends to go unnoticed on regular weekdays Sundays.
