It doesn't look like much from the outside, but it is worth stopping. Tucked in a small strip of business, this restaurant and market is small and family run so expect some delays. Service is slow, but well worth the wait. The pupusas and enchiladas are a personal favourites, as is the cassava. As other reviewers have mentioned, they do not accept credit cards so if you're planning to dine here, stop at an ATM and pul... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Mercadito Latino:
This isn't my first time to Mercadito Latino. The food here is good and has a lot of flavour. But the service here is slow - with typically only one server. If you are in a rush it might be a good idea to go elsewhere. Portions on the mains are good but for the chip appetizer the portion size was disappointingly small. View all feedback.
They have vegetarian options for my favourite food and that makes me really happy! I've eaten a few times from here, so delicious.
Mercadito latino is a large local, family-run restaurant serving a much more authentic Salvadoran and central American dishes in the west end of winnipeg. I recently stayed here at dinner on the 18th juli 2020 visited and eaten here. at my last visit I ordered the vegetarian tacos, consisting of maistortillas, filled with roasted beans, avocado and pico de gallo and a side homemade salsa. they were delicious and satisfied! the menu has other vegan/vegetarian options, including begging pupusas, corn tamales and other dishes that I impressed. the service is friendly and they also have a small load in the restaurant with authentic food from Central America. the atmosphere is welcoming and cozy and it feels like it is in the home of a local food.

Mercadito Latino is a great local, family-run restaurant serving a variety of authentic Salvadorean and Central American meals in Winnipeg's West End. I recently visited here for dinner on July 18, 2020 and have previously eaten here as well. On my most recent visit, I ordered the vegetarian tacos which consisted of corn tortillas filled with refried beans, avocado, and pico de gallo and a side of homemade salsa. They were delicious and satisfying! The menu has other vegan/vegetarian options as well including bean pupusas, corn tamales and other dishes which I was impressed by. The service is friendly and they also have a small store within the restaurant with authentic food products from Central America. Food was good, but very small portions. Our server, I believe the owner, was not very welcoming. Didn't crack a smile, was hard to get questions answered, dismissed my inquiry about a beer (not licenced (No real atmosphere (music perhaps? .Not my first choice for el Salvador food.
