Umi Sushi - Winnipeg

My son and I came here for supper. We are not sushi connoisseurs and we were pleased. The seating is upstairs, the service was attentive. We started with miso soup and then ordered a boat asking the waitress to surprise us (we didn't know what to order!) It was great and we both enjoyed it. The sashimi was cold and fresh and the other sushi was flavourful and good. We'll be back. We used a coupon too, so got 20% off.

This restaurant claims to have gluten-free/friendly options on their skip the dishes menu, then purposely misleads their customers by attempting to charge extra once their order has been placed claiming an outdated menu. Instead of honouring the price that they charged me which...was clearly listed on their menu, they attempted to get additional money from me after my order was placed. Umi Sushi lost a order and a customer.

The setting is good and quiet. The dishes are very ordinary with no surprise Hope it would improve soon

We made a reservation and went for a special Mother's Day meal. Our party included adults and children. The food was served very quickly and everything was excellent in taste and presentation. The kids enjoyed the Mango roll and the veggie and shrimp...tempura. They were also very entertained by the fish tank. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting.

The food is outstanding The owners are fun and friendly Our favorites are the Phoenix roll and tempura shrimp just to name a few We highly recommend Umi to all sushi lovers
