This pub really does need to be refurbished. We were staying at the Premier Inn next door for four nights there were three occasions where our menu choices weren't available. However the staff were amazing! I was with my 90 year old mother and they really looked after us each morning and night. They were very friendly, service was always with a smile and nothing was too much trouble for them. Breakfast dinner was alw... View all feedback.
What G7952NSdavidr doesn't like about Bridge Barn:
Good points : pleasant and roomy inside and in the garden, nice beer and other alcoholic drinks. Quite friendly service. Bad points: Roast for Sunday not available , coffee machine downstairs not working. toiletsboth genders need improvement, food quality average for all the five main courses we had) and poor value unless you have discount vouchers which we had}, several items on menu not available. I have been a regular at this restaurant for years, but it seems to be on a downward trend. The staff remains friendly, but the decor and furniture are looking worn. The chairs in the bar are patched up with duct tape. The food was terrible - cold and inedible. There were multiple items on the menu that were not available, including the Sunday roast.
The lack of customer service at Bridge Barn restaurant is appalling and dire. Despite booking online the evening before, I arrived to find the building closed. After contacting the central office, I finally spoke to the manager who informed me that the building had been closed for a week, despite the website still accepting bookings. Promises of callbacks were unfulfilled, and my attempts to book a midweek lunch using Reward vouchers were unsuccessful as the restaurant was only open on weekends. Multiple feedback submissions resulted in no response, leading me to believe that there is no interest in maintaining customer satisfaction. This experience, coupled with the rundown premises, leads me to believe that the restaurant may soon be closing permanently. My experience at another Beefeater restaurant only highlighted the stark difference in service and quality. I consider myself lucky to have only lost the value of my vouchers and will never dine at Bridge Barn again. I caution anyone expecting good food and service on Christmas Day to lower their expectations.
Terrible experience. Arrived 15 minutes late to my reservation due to traffic, only to be rushed to order. Starters were alright but waited an hour for mains, which were disappointing and overly salty. Only saw 2 other tables in the restaurant, so not sure why the delay. Staff were on their phones instead of attending to customers. Definitely won't be returning. Save your money and dine elsewhere.
Great food, good value for money. Staff very friendly and polite. The decoration is a little bit dated and requires updating.
Unfortunately this branch has got worse as time has gone by. The quality of the food is terrible and is not the same standard as other local beefeaters
