Considering wollongong lacks restaurants opening on Monday. We thought we give Mango Tree a go. Opening the door the aroma was welcome. We love proper Indian food and this was OUTSTANDING!! We got kebab, quail, 2 curries and sides. Kebab was spiced to give you a fire starter to your dinner. Quail was succulent and seasoned perfectly. Their curry shows spices does not have to be hot to be tasty. The flavours are rich... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Mango Tree:
My family friends introduced me to this restaurant in June 2015 and we had great group of friends and family at dinner, where I had a little chance to describe some Indian dishes. The Indian food here is not so tasty. I guess the taste is kept Australian mild but my friends there expected hot Indian food. View all feedback.

Great selection of Nepalese and Indian food right opposite the beach. Staff were very helpful with a quick table service. Relax and enjoy the foof.
Found by accident on a cold wet day with no reservation for a very very late lunch, we were welcomed with open arms to an amazing meal, courteous & friendly service. Truly superb.
It was a busy little place that we visited on a cold Friday night in Wollongong. It's straight across the road from the Novotel which was great. There is outdoor seating as well indoors. It would be nice during the day to eat overlooking the beach. You can BYO $3 corkage...they are fully licensed. There's a varied assortment on the menu and reasonably priced with dishes averaging around $19. We ordered Momo's for entree $12 for 8 little spicy, tasty morsels. The chicken curry was nice ( though I do prefer curries where they leave the chicken on the bone) the goat curry was smothered in flavour. The let down was the 4 accompaniments we chose. Probably the worst raita we've ever had. It tasted like sugary yoghurt. The pappadums had a peculiar taste and the tomato salsa was mainly onion. The saving grace was the mango pickle which was probably out of a jar. The mains were the highlight! The staff were very professional.
We enjoyed a lovely dinner at this restaurant. The food was great and the manager was excellent. Very friendly and halpful. All the dishes were served quickly and tasted delicious.
