What Theo Morris doesn't like about Woodstock Arms.:
Try to be a formal gourmet restaurant, but improve in all areas. Too bad it could be so much better in a beautiful hotel and, in our opinion, perhaps too much to strive if it is not needed. Could (should) be a nice cozy restaurant, with a better menu (so limited we canceled 2 more bookings) We had much better food, service, value for money and certainly ambience in various other restaurants in Woodstock. I was recently invited to a business lunch at The Feathers, a restaurant I'd previously never been to. Upon announcing our arrival, we were met at reception by the Head Chef. He welcomed us and suggested we sit by the bar. The fire had just been lit which proved to be a warm welcome and contrasted the chilly day outside. We both chose the Crispy Windsor Pork Belly, which was a perfect choice! When the food arrived, the presentation was second to none. The pork fell apart on the fork, the crackling was exactly the right blend of size, depth and crunch, the black pudding sausage roll was perfect and the accompanying jus brought the whole meal to life. My compliments to the Head Chef and his team, and I will be back to The Feathers very soon!
Had a fantastic night wish it had been longer great suite !! Fantastic ambience food drinks staff 5star.

After a complete refurbishment, this restaurant exceptionally good food and service. Highly recommended!
Nice location and proper china/rose/fabric napkins, but let down by performance: asked us if special event (yes, birthday), and were given full menu when really we had booked us in for cream teas, giving us the impression we could choose freely from wider afternoon tea options embarrassing, as we were a little more peckish than expected. Place was quiet, so we're a little underwhelmed. No mention of special occasion, so not sure of the effectiveness of the marketing team.
