So we pulled into The Dinner Plate at 1:00pm on a Sunday and we were the only car in the parking lot that wasn't from Nova Scotia. This was a good sign! When we entered, the dining room was loud and happy with big tables filled with families. What User doesn't like about The Dinner Plate Family Restaurant:
This place used to have the BEST scallops in town, not sure what has happened but this has changed. On our last two visits we had the scallops as we always do and they tasted "fishy". Certainly not the fresh tasting scallops that were there with every visit when the former owner had it. View all feedback.

"Best place in Western Nova Scotia without question! Variety on menu was great and dishes ordered were full of flavour, wonderfully presented and served by great staff. Ordered the amazing Thai Street Fries, Butter Chicken and Butter Chicken Poutine. Everyone left very happy and will be back everytime we come to Yarmouth."

"It's a very small place that physically is not equipped to cater to large crowds. The staff is friendly but slow. Kitchen is slow & new staff do not have consistency in cooking.The food is fresh however lacked flavor. Quit bland."
