What User doesn't like about The Micklegate Social:
in a dawn before lunch after the walk of the walls. I ordered a beer and my partner asked for a coffee just to say it would be a minute to wait. ten minutes for a coffee? then coffee was canceled and another beer was ordered. the saving gnade was at least that we were warned before waiting. that said, beautiful atmosphere and a good selection of high quality beers View all feedback.
We love the Fossgate-Sozial and therefore we were excited to try the new ones from micklegate. the personal, eating and beer are just as good! Moreover, it is the perfect place for a drink before they go to skosh and other places that appear along micklegate! no longer the dark side of the city!
Popped in for a quick cuppa before work. It's a lovely comfy place with plenty of seating areas. A few tables outside so if it's sunny it's ideal. It's a clean and welcoming environment and the toilets are clean always a bonus staff are really friendly and was served by Meg and later Katie who both you can have a laugh with and follow all covid guidelines. it has a a couple toasties to choose from, really yummy, and a few sweet treats like brownies etc.. They also do a selection of beers and have plenty of spirits on show and the cocktails/ mocktails look amazing. So if in the area pop in and give them a try
Lovely relaxed atmosphere and the staff were really friendly. Not a huge selection of food, mainly toasties and a few sweet treats but delicious and perfect if your looking for something small! Great selection of drinks, lots of gins and the cocktails looked amazing.
By far our favourite place in York!! Great staff, chilled, friendly atmosphere aswell as THE best espresso martini!! A must if you're visiting.
I would just like to say that the Mickgate Social opens after taking the spatial features, which is always a more difficult transition for both customers and employees is similar to how amazing all are employees. they are so welcoming, always cheerful, even if it is really busy, and always have a smile and a warm greeting every time I visit. it is so refreshing to go in a caffe for coffee and the personal welcomes them with names. it is not a simple job that these people do, because it is very hard work that has done similar work in my past. I would like to congratulate them all on the absolutely fantastic work they do and maintain the good work youngs and girls. it is my only place to go for a coffee and relax and long may stay.
