3 Amigos - Yorktown

This place is my go to anytime I visit from out of state. I've tried other Mexican restaurants in Hampton roads but this continues to be the best. It's a pretty standard looking Mexican restaurant, nice booths, a nice bar, plenty of parking. Sometimes service can be slow but the food is worth it, great drink specials and a big menu. Will be back!

When walked in we were sat immediately, they took the order as soon after (we'd already looked at the menu online kinda knew what we wanted) and the food was out probably 10 or 15 min later. The food was really good. The chips n salsa was actually good too. The overall environment was relatively quiet, although it was the start of their busy hour (probably the first of 3 or 4 people there for the time of day

This place takes Mexican dining to another level. Some of you may disagree, but who am I to judge? I 've only been here two times, and after that, my credibility is on the line when I say, You will love this place! I don 't know if it 's the homemade guacamole or the friendly service from your server, but I will say this, you will now be disappointed. This place is your cheap night meal experience that will keep you returning. So let your dining experience excell in their manfificant Mexican experience.

Food is what you would expect from a classic Mexican restaurant, prices are decent so we come here as it is close to our house. The food is always presented nice and the table side guacamole and margaritas are probably my favorite. Flavors can be a little bland and inconsistent from visit to visit, and the service is always slow after we get our food is the reason for the 3 stars. If you like American style Mexican restaurants I would give it a shot if you live in the area.

I can't even tell you if I enjoyed the food because the service was so terrible! After being seated and ordering a beverage, I had to hunt someone down to take my order! No one checked back with me. I never got water, my drink refilled, or OFFERED ANYTHING! I had to go to the hostess stand to request my bill!!! When I complained, the manager came over and told me I would not have to pay for my lunch, but I would have to pay for my drink. No apology or explanation. I felt so abandoned and unwelcome! I will never go back!
