City Cafe

I love this restaurant. The food was delicious, kudos to the chef I had the filet mignon, and it was perfect. The wine selection also wonderful. I cleaned my plate witch is rare. Service was exceptional. Will be back very soon.

We stumbled upon City Cafe on the way back to Sacramento and ended up having the most fantastic evening of our trip there! The cocktail list was inventive and we had never seen an in house mixologist in a restaurant before very creative. The food was delicious. Between the four of us we were able to taste a range of their offerings. Highlights were the pork belly wontons (I think only available during their 3 6pm happy hour , ribeye steak with porcini and coffee rub (those flavours! I’m still drooling over it! , bacon florentine pasta (pure roasted garlicky indulgence and the captain creme brûlée (a really fun take on the classic . The portions were generous and prices reasonable. The s’mores dessert was sold out unfortunately... guess we’ll have to return for a second visit! It was surprisingly busy for a Tuesday night. We found out that new owners had recently taken over they seem to be hitting the right notes with the locals!

I love the decor. We went for a friends birthday and we all got different items. We all tried each other's food. The polenta wedges were tender and delicious, the burger is amazing, the shrimp scampy was great, the Tuscan chicken and pesto was delightful, and the steak was perfectly cooked and incredibly flavorful. We had the creme brulee for dessert and itnwas some of the best I've had in a long time. We will definitely be going again.

Always a great experience. The food is delicious. The soup is great, I always order the special and it is always the best. My personal favorite... the creme brulee!

Had a wonderful brunch this afternoon. Our party had an assortment of their menu items, however the breakfast tacos take the cake! Perfect portion and taste. Of course, the service and patio atmosphere only added to our experience!
