Hotel zum Hirschen - Zell am See

We were in cell for 7 nights and ate every night. in general we were blown away from the quality of the food, and this restaurant gave us 1 of our top 2 meal times of the trip. we had a little starter and went... big with the nets, and it was delicious. we got a free escape, which was delicious, and the wee we were recommended was perfect. our server, oehi, was excellent and added the whole experience. like other good restaurants in zell it is not particularly favorable, but the quality of food and services it deserves well.

Food OK. The waitress and service very unpleasant. Atmosphere stiff. I will not go there second time.

Very nice hotel. We were here on our 1900-mile trip on tour bikes along the Danube. The rooms were large and clean; the bathrooms also large and clean. Breakfast was very nice. There was a safe garage to park our bikes and trailers over...night. Walking distance to the second waters of the Danube.

I was there several times. It has a good selection of Austrian courts. This time I brought my friends. We had all different dishes and all were good. Almost done at home. Nothing beautiful, but delicious. Service is fast. During my lunch .2 dishes in 35 minutes.

This is a nice property but very poorly run. Ms Marie at reception was good and guided us about the cruise and light sound show but all the staff at breakfast was just doing the refill in the dishes and had very poor etiquettes. The...staff generally looked disinterested. I guess the problem lies with top management. The breakfast experience was very poor. There were nothing fresh being served like fried eggs etc. Fruit and salads were limited. Coffee was mediocre. Tables were pre-assigned and we had no option to choose a table. We were given table in a dark room with dim light. Staff was curt and cold . Sauna is good but timings 4pm to 8pm are impractical. Sauna has no drinks or drinking water to hydrate. We were allotted a room #393 which was 20 stairs up above 3 rd floor to which there was no elevator. However, the room was spacious and bathroom was also very spacious with good lights. Balcony is just worth the namesake and has no space and no view. In short, we don’t recommend this hotel. It lacks the warmth and culture of hospitality.
