Contribute Feedback What Gertrude Dach likes about Big Sur Lodge:
We stopped here on our way up Highway 1. The room was very nice with plenty of room and counter space and storage. The bathroom fan in our room needed a little work (looked like they replaced it but didn't take out the old one) and there wasn't any wifi available and minimal cell service depending on your carrier (At&t, Verizon had the best, Tmobile was very spotty). We were fine without wifi but thought it was stran... View all feedback.
What Althea Aufderhar doesn't like about Big Sur Lodge:
The room was clean which was the only thing I liked about this place. There is no TV or WiFi included in your stay. The lodge did not have a bar, they did not supply games or anything to help pass the time in the rooms. They say in their pamphlet that she lodge is a resort which is why they do not have TV or WiFi. For breakfast the coffee is terrible and the breakfast was very basic. This place is a rip off I paid $8... View all feedback.
The risotto is standard vegan. one of the salads can be without a cheese and there is also an beyond burger option (survey them to ask it without a cheese.) this area seemed missing in the rule for options so that this place was very welcomed
Only for food it was a happy hour after our hike to pfeffier if and valley view, so we decided to take a quick bite. Food/key/flavor: 3/5 appetizer wing came with only 5 wings, but the flavor of the lemon whip was strong and well cooked. the kalamari was disappointing as he was overcooked (fried to dead) and you can't say what you eat. the incubating sauces were beautiful, although ambiente: na took the food to goservice: 5/5 lad was cool and beautifulvalue for price: 1/5 happy hour price of $10 per plate was decent for where we are located, but the food quality and quantity drops the evaluation
This lodge is located in a stunning setting and offers great service. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We were able to order extras and snacks, which were brought to our room with a big smile. Everyone made us feel so welcome, which was wonderful. The room was clean and even had a board game for some family fun. We had good cell service, so we didn't need Wi-Fi. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the bed was too hard for my liking. If they updated the bed, it would be a perfect 5-star experience!
We absolutely adored our visit. The location is stunning with numerous hiking trails in the area. The lodge itself has a waterfall, a river, a camping area, and picturesque hiking routes. Guests can enjoy dining at the lodge or grab a sandwich to bring along on their hikes, which is what we preferred to do. The lodge also has a cafe, ice cream, and a store.
The restaurant is surprisingly good! I expected to eat some cafeteria style when I got my garnel and grits. it came out of the nine and was delicious.
