What User doesn't like about Wharfside Cafe:
I was looking forward to trying the EDEN mussels as the boats in the marina advertised selling them to you direct and this cafe had a nice dish that contained them on the menu. No ! , I'm sorry we haven't had them for a while (but still on the menu !) was the answer after we was seated , however they recommended the seafood risotto, that wont have mussels but extra prawns and scallops to compensate.Don't waste your t... We enjoyed a delicious breakfast: service was friendly, calm and efficient. Our 6 grandchildren range in age from 6 to 12 and were managed well by the staff when taking orders and delivering food. Tailor made big breakfasts omitting eggs, or adding mushrooms; fluffy light French toast with bananas and maple syrup, buttermilk pancakes, simple sausages and poached egg. Lovely coffees, juices and teas accompanying. Staff even found time to take a photo for us.
We had no sooner sailed into Eden and tied our lines, when we wandered across to Waterside Cafe for a late lunch. The Fish Tacos with Mexican aioli and fries were wonderful. Our other choice was "Fish of the Day" - lightly battered GrenadierNot sure why we didn't opt for the signature "Eden Mussels" - next time!Could imagine spending lazy afternoons here.
Been coming to Eden for 35 years and this has to be the best food on the East Coast Great view and fantastic staff and magic weather. Bruce

We were advised by several local experts on 'fish and chips" that this establishment offered the best meal in Eden. Having many years of experience eating fish and chips ... finding the 'best' can be challenging! Well - may be this was the best! Super value - great taste - really fresh fish - a very filling and satisfying meal. A platter for two included chips, calamari, shrimps as well as the fish. Recommended without hesitation.
