"Passing through on the way to Sydney we were told that the pub did good meals. I'm sorry to say that after a referral and looking forward to a good meal it was all downhill from there. We had to wait over an hour for a couple of very basic schnitzels. The salad was better than the basic bit of tomato and couple of different varieties of lettuce but the chips were cold and tasted like they were the fries that McDonald's rejected. My veal schnitzel looked like it had been in a Bain Marie for a week and microwaved just for me. Thank God the beer has better quality control but the bottled coke was barely chilled. A tip for the staff would be that if there is going to be a long delay in serving meals they should say so when ordering."

"I used to live in Eden, and I was a regular at golden ocean. Always a good feed at a good price. I still visit Eden and usually get lunch or dinner, its never a disappointment. Its also been renovated which looks fantastic."

"Edens best kept secret! Its like they are too shy to put all their lights on at night but everyone seems to go there!!! Don't ask for salmon it's never ever in stock (and that's from the horses mouth). We had prawn cutlets, sea scallops, fresh calamari that was absolutely beautiful not rubbery at all, beautiful Grenadier fish grilled and we asked for small chips and we got piles of them!!! The salad we got was a bit small for two of us but it was delicious you couldn't have got more stuff into it grape tomatoes, beetroot, different types of lettuce, grated cheese, onion spinach leaves. Boy oh boy if you want fish and chips come here not cheap but you'll find them right on road to the pier!!!"

Lee treated us to his fabulous chocolate sauce which was to die for!!! Thank you for making our 'out if the blue ' stay in Eden so great-Eden will now be a stop in and holiday destination purely for the great advise and conversation you had with us. Thank you."

"There are not many places in Eden for a vegan to eat. We had the fritatta, burger and a piece of strawberry cake. The fritatta was super dry and a bit tasteless, the burgers were really good but quite pricey $18 for a burger with no side?!! . The cake was very dry and too sweet for my liking, and served with non vegan cream waitress asked if I wanted cream but didn't know if it was vegan, I said yes if it's vegan. I found out the hard way it wasn't"
