Ristorante Portovino - Laval

I went for a business lunch at this restaurant. The service needs improvement and the food was much to be desired I have gone twice to this restaurant hoping that they would improveWith their service sadly. This is the last time I will be going to this establishment

Have gone here in the past but found that location to be closed. Traveled across town to find another location for a late lunch. Food is excellent. They don't serve wine but you can bring a bottle for them to open. This is high end dining. Beautiful ambiance

The Caesar salad was tasteless. They ran out of meatballs even though it was 5:30 so the waiter suggested the salsicce cacciatore.The dish was nothing more than a few slices of sausages in a sweet tomato sauce. Yuck. The penne Arrabiata was not spicy at all. It was tasteless. Even the bread was hard as a rock. Do not waste your money. There are tons of better restaurants in Laval. I just took $100 and threw it in the garbage.

We visited this resto due a special event. In all it was a big group to cater. We were on the second floor , good private area for special occasion. It had been reserved. Our waitress was a bit overwhelmed though. After taking all the orders from our table. She forgot to take 4 out of the 12 orders. We had waited while everyone else got their entree. We had to remind her and the same went it was for coffee. When we asked for our coffee she replied, sorry but I only have two hands. This was kind of rude.Aside from that the food was good.

It was Saturday night dinner with friends, nice location, decoration is fair and mines, the plus was the food taste and presentation, price was a bit expensive the wine was from our winery, fair can do better
