Campo Marina Italian Restaurant

The food and service at this restaurant were excellent, but our experience was marred by a lack of reservations. We arrived at 4:50 for the 5 o’clock opening, only to be kept waiting in a holding area for at least half an hour without any cocktail service. By the time we were finally seated, some diners were already finishing their meals. This has happened to us before, with our previous wait stretching to an hour while others with supposed reservations were seated before us. When we questioned this practice, we were dismissed. Despite the good food, this frustrating experience has left us with no desire to return to this establishment, as it is not the only option in town.

We were camping in our RV with friends and decided to treat ourselves on our last night in Osoyoos. We decided to ignore the not so pleasant reviews and sure glad we did. The restaurant doesn't take reservations past 5:30 so it's first come first served. We went for dinner at 7 PM on a Friday night of the BC Day long weekend, risky I know without a reservation. The parking lot was full but we were pleasantly surprised when we went inside. We were greeted by a nice gentleman who took my name and gave me a buzzer. We were informed that we could wait in the lounge or outside on the patio. They have a large area for guest to wait and order a drink if they wish. We were told that there would be a 1/2 hour wait and we waited approximately 10 minutes. Our buzzer went off at the same time as the gentleman at the front of house came and told us our table was ready ( good memory.) We were seated in a comfortable booth. I don't know our servers name, due to my poor memory, but she was very proficient. She knew the menu and bar items very well. We had two rounds of the house bread which is very good but leave room for dinner as the portions are on the larger size. Besides the regular menu they have a special menu from which I ordered my appetizer and my dinner. I had the brie cheese and seafood wrapped in phyllo pastry with a blueberry compote which was good. The only thing I would change is to have the blueberries on the tart side as they were too sweet for my taste, but overall a good appy. I ordered the snapper with shrimp for my main course. I chose the penne pasta ( there is the choice of 3 types of pasta as well as potatoes or rice) with a white wine sauce. The sauce was not offered with this dish but I saw it on the menu for another dish and they gladly subbed it for me at NO extra cost. The other 3 people dining with me also liked their dishes. My husband ordered a dessert to share but we could not finish it as we really did not have room left after such a satisfying meal. The cost isn't anything I would call exorbitant, it is a little pricey but you get what you pay for. I don't mind paying a bit more as long as the food is good and it was WORTH it. What can I say, Good food, Good people, Good time had by all. We left as HAPPY CAMPERS.

They were very friendly. Great customer service. Food was quick and very tasty. Glad we made the visit this trip. We will be back.

We were in Osoyoos for my daughters 15th birthday and Campo was recommended by the hotel staff as a great restaurant. They were 100% correct. Food was amazing and the staff were great.

They were great and accommodated our entire group of 24 people. Excellent and friendly service and the food wasn't bad either!
