Barbara Jean's - Ponte Vedra Beach

We began our meal with a basket of warm cornbread and rolls, accompanied by an ample serving of butter. For our main course, we opted for the chicken-fried chicken with mashed potatoes. Everything was absolutely delicious. The chicken was made from real breast meat, topped with a flavorful white gravy that paired beautifully with the potatoes. The coleslaw was creamy and packed with flavor—just like it should be. The service started off a bit slow, but soon picked up to a pleasantly brisk pace. We also enjoyed a great view from our outdoor seating, watching the local boats navigate the water.

This was my first visit to the restaurant. My husband ordered the cheeseburger, which he found to be bland, but he did enjoy the green beans. I had the cake sandwich, which could have used some spices. The squash casserole was decent. However, the service was excellent, and we dined outside with a lovely waterfront view. We also tried the fries at the table, and they were outstanding.

Absolutely fantastic food and service! Once again, Griffin provided us with an incredible dining experience as our waiter. He truly made us feel like VIPs, maintaining his usual positive vibe. The strip steak and pork chops were cooked to perfection. The BJ's salad and dressing were amazing, and the jalapeño cornbread was out of this world. Overall, great food at a great restaurant. We will definitely be back!

Always try to meet Barbara Jeans while visiting my daughter and granddaughter in Ponte Vedra. The seafood is always fresh and tasty. I like the Coastal Platter, which is a crab cake, buttermilk fried shrimps and fish. Good stuff. We usually dine on the deck over the Intercoastal Waterway.

The bread selection was delicious. Our meal portion size was crazy big. Had the coastal platter and shared. Their grits are so yummy and tasty. Crab Cakes also so good. Coconut shrimp were large and so tasty good. Enjoy the pumpkin bread with butter. This place is right on water so beautiful.
