We definitely liked the dinner menu we ordered oysters and scotch fillet steak which the steak was cooked to perfection and flathead fillets very fresh.the service was friendly and good. Unfortunately the red wine selection needs to be revised as not a great selection only one choice of Shiraz. We do visit regularly and still not disappointed a very good pub meal. View all feedback.
What User dislikes about The Duke Restaurant:
I always ask the locals where they would go out to eat, and this pub/restaurant kept coming up, so in I went. I figured I was in farming territory, so ordered their best steak cooked medium rare with chips and veg. Don't know what the Wagga version of medium rare is, but when you cut into a steak, and the middle is grey, not pink or red I don't think they got it right. This is got to be of the best pubs we have eaten at in quite a while. The hot rocks scotch fillet was delicious. Have had a few of these at other places but this was probably the best. It was a very nice piece decent sized of meat. The mash and veg sides were terrific also. The desserts were delicious and very reasonably priced with large serves. Good friendly service, reasonably priced drinks equals a must visit when in Wagga Wagga.
The staff are terrific,the steak was amazing,cooked to perfection ,and melted in your mouth,they had good variety of meals at quite reasonable prices,drinks at pub prices,for a pub meal it doesn't get much better.
For a pub meal - good selection of beers (+), good menu (+), reasonable prices (+), good food (+) - I had vegetable stack (small but delicious) and great staff. I'll be back
My wife ate fish and chips: beautiful.I had 30% of her dinner!Me (husband) had a scotch fillet med rare : amazing!I am very fussy cannot fault the quality of food and friendly and respectful service.
