The service when I went in was friendly and helpful. They managed expectations around time as the fish and chips were being freshly fried. They have 2 sites one where everything is friend in beef dripping and another where they are fried in vegetable oil so that it is more accessible. The Fish was flaky and delicious and the chips were crispy on the outside and nice and fluffy on the inside. Mushy peas were tasty. Ve... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Trenchers:
Beautiful place, very ornate, food was ok though I thought it was overpriced, I had a small fish and chips costing £13.50, dismayed to find that a small bowl of mushy peas was extra. Altogether too expensive for what is basically a posh chip shop. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £10–20 Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3 View all feedback.
It is a bit of a traditional place that embraces its history in its decor - the portions are great, and the fish is fresh - I have always found the personal.
Very nice service and eat at a visit in whitby. I would recommend and return. thank you.
During the walking they were walking, so we expected to wait where we went. we waited about 20 minutes outside. the host offered everyone a menu and asked how.
As always the food was excellent, service friendly and prompt a must for us when visiting Whitby, no hesitation in recommending Trenchers Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Fish and Chips Cod and Haddock
The food was superb, the service was fantastic, and I have never had better fish and chips in the past 50 years. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. I had dinner there and the price per person ranged from £20–30. I would highly recommend the fish and chips, as well as the cod and haddock dishes. The overall experience was top-notch with a rating of 5 for food, service, and atmosphere.
