"Very friendly. Pete and his staff are really welcoming and friendly, would recommend stopping here if you are looking to explore Whitby and the surrounding area, situated about 6 miles from Whitby in Egton village. Food is all home made and uses locally sourced meats and vegetables, nice selection of drinks and a lovely atmosphere with open fire and friendly locals. The accommodation is also Dog friendly too and there is a beer garden at the rear and benches at the front. Would definitely go back here"

"Went here as there was lots of vegan options on the menu. Went with my girlfriend and we got the vegan sharing platter between us. Would NOT recommend. It was nearly £15 for 3 tiny falafels, gone off hummus and soggy olives, mushy veg and a bit of stale salad. I’m sure some of the other vegan options were much better judging by the reviews on here, but do not get the sharing platter! Wouldn’t go back. Service also felt quite hostile and we felt uneasy."

"Lovely little Inn ,amazing views and very friendly stuff....the breakfast was really rich ...walking distance from all the worth visiting locations in Whitby (Abbey,whalebone arch etc and min walk from the center) only stayed for one night but definitely would recommend for a nice city break"

"Lovely hotel and the rooms were nice and clean the staff were really helpful and friendly , lovely view of the harbour ,very nice breakfast it is very loud the music on sat night as it live band , but we excepted that as its a sat night in town centre bar so if you don’t like loud music it not for you on weekend but didn’t bother us and my little boy slept through it so wasn’t problem for us we be coming back next year we really enjoyed our stay thanks to all the staff there"
