"We stayed at the Bucks Arms for four nights, choosing it because of its convenient location for visiting Blickling Hall and other National Trust properties in the neighbourhood. Our room was spacious, and furnished with a large four poster bed, and it had an equally spacious bathroom running off it. The highlight of our stay was the meals a large full English breakfast in the morning and a first rate dinner in the evening. As other correspondents have reported, the portions here are generous to say the least, and you 'll never go away hungry: after we 'd eaten breakfast, we scarcely needed to buy lunch. In every sense, the Bucks Arms offers excellent value for money. Our criticisms are few and relatively minor. One thing which we both found irritating was the way in which the staff constantly refer to their customers as 'you guys ' as in , for example, 'are you guys ready to order yet? ' or 'Can I get you guys anything? ' We found this mode of address insufficiently respectful. And at breakfast time, it would be good to see a bowl of fruit put out to complement the cereals. Currently, the Bucks Arms is a fruit free zone, which seems odd in a rich agricultural county, and fruit consumption should be encouraged for healthy eating. This criticisms apart, we have nothing but praise for the Bucks Arms, and we would happily stay there again."

"It was New Year’s Day, and we were looking for a pitstop on a long walk. The place was packed – and any table that wasn’t occupied had a ‘Reserved’ note. Despite that, the friendly staff went out of their way to find us somewhere to enjoy a drink. We were told we could have a table by the bar for half-an-hour, which was perfect for us. The drinks, snacks and coffees we had were great – and the service was cheerful and helpful, even though they were all rushed off their feet. We really appreciated it all, and we’ll definitely be back."
