"What an amazing and fantastic find! A traditional local pub that was super busy, super friendly and every possible dog you could think of! Yes, definitely dog friendly ..only popped in for half hour before heading to the Cranleigh Arts Centre to see my brother-in-law perform.. we ended up staying for an hour and getting to meet some lovely Cranleigh locals whilst sitting next to an open fire! Ps food looked good also! Fab atmosphere"

"Went to this restaurant when it first opened back in 1984 for a few years. Then we moved away. Recently staying nearby again and thrilled to see it was still there, so we booked a table. Beautiful decor, very friendly and warm welcome and the food was delicious! After mentioning that I hadn’t been for over 30 years, they served us a delicious mint and local honey tea in ornate crockery after our meal. Lovely touch"

"Sad to say but the dinner was awful. Cod littered with bones, one of the orders arrived minutes late and the children’s serving was only suitable for toddlers. Won’t be going for dinner anytime soon. Only took off one meal."

"Six of us went to lunch today(6th March) I was so impressed by not only a beautiful pub full character and charm, but all the staff were very friendly and attentive, and in the sight of eating was it, beautifully presented and of high quality with lots of fresh vegetables. the starter of the scallops that my partner and I were delicious and the bratpork was sensational and the eton mess was really nice. I am not surprised that they have to book well in advance and cannot recommend it very enough, and we will definitely return. who manages this facility has it absolutely right. many thanks for a pleasant experience."

"Went here on Mothering Sunday so it was busy. This didn't impact the quality of the service and food which were both excellent. Very friendly and attentive staff and lovely food. Will definitely go back when I'm next in the area."
