"Only our second visit, but we were in the area, and I was tempted to see if the E&C Burger I'd had on my last visit was as brilliant as I'd remembered the first time. It most definitely was. Strange really, because I rarely order a burger in a pub/restaurant, but this one is well worth the trip. My wife had the Halloumi burger which she also really enjoyed. We were made to feel very welcome by the landlady and her staff, and went away feeling very full and satisfied. A shame you're not on our doorstep, but we will definitely be back, at least to try some of the other items on the menu."

"Great chippy! the first time I tried and will go back. I had an OAP special (not an oap,) its a five for small piece fish, chips and sauce. fish was really fleshy and chips were banging. my colleague had a kebab wrap that was huge, really enjoyed it but said the doner was a cloudy dry, better than greasy though. we definatley are getting spoiled again."

"2 Fish and chip specials, Fish looked to have been fried twice as two layers of batter round a very small portion of fish, made it look bigger than it was, possibly a child's size, Not the usual quality I've had from here in the evening, just treating a friend to lunch, how disappointing and embarrassing it was having said how good they were. Had a bowl of soup with the chips. Service: Take out"

"We visited the church house at Wath today, the 10th of October for lunch. The service was great very efficient and the meals were very good. The problem was the air-conditioning was broken and was blowing cold we would have stayed for a couple more drinks but it was warmer outside, hopefully they will have it fixed soon."
