"Found this on Tripadvisor, and also a 5 minute walk from the Premier Inn where we were staying. Initial impressions might be off putting as the main restaurant is upstairs and just a small bar area is visible from the street. Stick with it, the welcome is warm, and the food and service are outstanding. As advertised, this is very authentic, run by Italians, in case of the server owner? from Calabria. We had three courses, meat and cheese etc sharing platter, then venison ragu and fresh pappardelle pasta, then desserts. Homemade and very delicious food. All this plus a bottle of Montepulchiano and one grappa for a very reasonable price £93 for two . It was a wet Tuesday evening but the place still had plenty of customers. Very happy with this find and would definitely go back."

"Food is lovely, but the place is ruined by terrible staff. Our waiter barely raised a smile at the two children, and basically sneered all night, except when a group of French people came in, then he turned into Mr Charming to them. Other friends have said the same. If you don't like the English people who pay your wages, go back to France. He was borderline racist and I won't be back. A pity, because as I said the food was good."

"A few items that are considered vegan, mostly on the Moroccan side, but would be salat on the Italian side. not a large selection usable and although I was able to take the cheese from the pizza and customize the garlic bread to be vegan, felt as if I had to do instead of a fully thoughtful vegan meal"

"Excellent. my daughter came back to uni today and thought we had fish and chips, but they and my wife who had other ideas before. visited the canteen today 13th february to lunch. nice welcome when we got in. 3 friendly staff. daily specials, I had the thai green curry that was excellent. in my normally critical opinion this is a simple inviting esserei, served with large dips in good portions, great value for money and in clean, simple environment. highly recommended. you will be back"
