Located in Chinatown, this restaurant offers a mix of hits and misses. While some dishes like the Mexican style bean mixed received mixed reviews, the sunny side up eggs were overcooked and lazily presented. On the other hand, the café is praised for its cakes, bread, and coffee, with friendly staff who offer excellent service without rushing customers. The Little Piggy sandwich was somewhat messy and unbalanced, but the pork belly with Asian broth was a standout dish. The venue is described as a hidden gem, with unbeatable coffee and delectable pastries. Overall, the consensus is that the food and service are exceptional, though some dishes may fall short of expectations.
In the category Cafés, this place is rated as one of the best in Adelaide, and based on the average evaluation of 4.6, it's likely one of the favorite restaurants of its visitors.
What TanjungBaraDiver likes about Market St:
I was staying very close so this is handy, also handy if you are visiting the Central Markets. Staff are quick to serve and very pleasant. Portions are very big I had a Monsieur toasted sandwich and a muffin and couldn 't finish it. The Monsieur was absolutely stuffed with ham, an excellent toastie. Coffee was also great. Nice access, good seating and good for people watching. Looked like a great selection of lunch t... View all feedback.
What Estelle Beatty doesn't like about Market St:
It's not as great as expected. Half of the menu was sold out at Saturday brunch time. I ordered the Mexican style bean mixed (forgot what it's called), it was good but not great. It was disappointing that the two dishes my partner wanted were sold out, so he ordered a classic sunny side up with bacon and avocado, but it's even more disappointing that the eggs were fried in a circle mould and so completely overcooked...
