We didn’t accept the checks when we didn’t have any cash and the station had no telephone network (so the bank terminal was no longer working.) I had to do an A/R at the station’s distributor in full swing to see that it was not working as well... the check was finally accepted. but in the end the bank terminal of the supérette appeared as by magic and we could pay with it.
