after 400 miles drive we checked the accommodation on the main street of barstow, we decided to take the short trip to the holiday inn express next to the outlet stores on hwy 15. we felt much safer and enjoyed the quiet night well away from the autobahn. the staff, room and breakfast were all excellent. we did not buy the outlet stores as we had another 400 miles to drive. Room was nice but they don't have the air conditioning on, so you arrive to an overly warm room. Not nice in the desert! And we paid enough for you to afford it. Cinnamon rolls ran out by 7am.
