Four of us stayed at Alexander's Lodge June 17-20 to hike Mt. Rainier and loved it. Summer was very helpful and accommodating, even finding us extra winter gear when the weather became quite cold and snowy during our stay. Horrible! From the outdated and dirty inside and overgrown foliage outside! You get your key from an envelope taped on the office door. This door will remain locked and you can make an appt to visit the gift shop. You will not see any staff/owners at all. They give you an option to place an order for breakfast.
