I had a beignet from Cafe Dumond a day before and it was meh! I found Loretta’s today and I’m in heaven!! This is clearly not a tourist destination and is not in the French Quarter. However, the delicacies are worth the travel. I had a chocolate filled and my wife had a crab filled beignet.
