This IS the original. Located just off of Passyunk on 20th and Jackson, this unassuming little corner bar has been serving up the best sandwiches in Philly since 1938! Skip the cheesesteaks (or do them on another day and get roast pork, roasted turkey, roast beef, or baked ham. The roast beef is the standard. The roastbeef sandwiches which were pre-made and sitting on the counter ???? The roll was wet (soggy) the meat was dry. The gravy had no flavor. The turkey sandwich was dry with no added gravy. The bartender was cool. I don't recommend the food. Go in get a drink and leave View all feedback.
