We stayed here in 2015 for a brief stay and enjoyed it then so returned again for 3 nghts to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The reception staff are very friendly and helpful and immediately gave us a map and guidance on where to visit in the town. Stopped here on business. Nice big car park to the rear next to the train station, which is free for guests. Fairly steep steps to navigate from the car park so if you have heavy bags you might need to ask for help. The bar area/lounge is very tired and not inviting, whilst the downstairs Bistro is fabulous! Really nicely decorated, and the service and food where both at an excellent level.
