Poong in Eastwood has garnered a reputation for serving the best Korean fried chicken in the area, with juicy and flavorful pieces that are not overly breaded. The naengmyun (cold noodles) dish is also a standout, perfectly balancing savory flavors. While the stews may fall short, the attentive service and pleasant ambiance make for a delightful dining experience. Additionally, the restaurant offers a variety of side dishes and dishes like beef bulgogi bibimbap and seafood pancake, though opinions on these vary. For those craving Korean fried chicken, Poong is a top choice, especially when paired with the garlic teriyaki flavor. Amidst the distinction between the "Korean side" and "Chinese side" of Eastwood, Poong Nab stands out as a popular Korean BBQ spot on the Chinese side, impressing diners with their fried chicken and hot pot offerings. Overall, the restaurant has the potential to become a favorite, especially for fans of Korean cuisine.
What Octavia Pouros likes about Poong Nab Dong:
What can i say, this place is magnificent if you are craving korean fried chicken. I am well versed in Korean fried chicken and gotta say this is one of my favorites. Go for the garlic teriyaki flavour and you will not regret it at all. Its juicy and crispy and the sauce is amazing. Friendly staff and owner is a plus. View all feedback.
What Patricia Dupuis doesn't like about Poong Nab Dong:
I would never return to this place. seafood pancake is soggy and unpleasant and the seafood inside was very gum-like. very expensive kbbq also! I have charged for two pieces of marinated chicken, more absolute torn off, avoid them at all costs! View all feedback.
