What D H likes about Southern Comfort Cafe:
The food was good old fashioned southern home cooking. We had the pork chop with gravy (nice and tender) and fried catfish (crispy) with cornbread dressing (tasted like Thanksgiving), cole slaw and cornbread. The service was good and the owner is a nice friendly gentle man. We can't wait to go back for fried chicken and oxtail and rice. It is a cozy quiet place with soft modern jazz in the background. For those not accustomed to eating soul food regularly, the food was very good. However, for others, it was just okay. When they served the banana pudding, I had to inquire if it was ice cream. It turned out to be pudding topped with a few nilla wafers. View all feedback.
