I'm not sure how long the fries are sitting there. They always scoop them up from a paper container that looks like should have be thrown out hours ago. I asked for hot, fresh fries once and there was chatter amongst employees. Then two sets of eyeballs located me. Fries are usually decent when they are made to order.
