We live in the Ferndale area and have eaten lunch at the VI many times over the years. This was another wonderful experience. It has charming and rustic atmosphere and and the food is skillfully prepared and served and delicious. As usual, it is quite and we could hear each other talk. This time it was a 94th birthday celebration for our mother! View all feedback.

We took our granddaughter for a fancy dinner while on vacation. The petrale sole was out of almonds so they substituted pine nuts which my husband did not like. My granddaughter chose the paella and none of us could eat it. It was so heavily spiced with saffron that we didn’t like it at all. We took it home so as not to create a fuss, but tossed it.
