We stopped by the Panera Bread in the Milestone area of Germantown. The food was good. The service was friendly efficient. The atmosphere was so-so, however. On a cold, blustery evening, it would have been nice to dine by a glowing, warm fireplace. They have one, but it was off. Not life and death, of course; just diminishes the atmosphere. My daughter had the macaroni and cheese and a lemonade and got food poisoning. She was sick for an entire week with vomiting, diarrhea, fever, and stomach pain. My fiancé was able to investigate as a certified food safety manager and my private investigator.
