This is a great hole in the wall joint. The service was excellent. The chicken fried steak is one of the top 5 I've had. The fried mushrooms were fantastic. I did not really care for the mashed potatoes as they tasted like baked potatoes. Yes, you can taste the difference. Perhaps add more cream. The food is hit or miss. Sometimes really good, sometimes fine. The menu shows affordable prices, but isn't very detailed, so you might order an entree priced at 8.99 that seems like it comes with two sides but doesn't, and end up with a $30 bill.
