My go to Mexican restaurant when I'm passing thru the Alexandria-DC metro area. Good value, steak tampiqueño being my favorite plate. Tried a few other mexican restaurants in Del Ray, but will stick to el poblano. Quiet neighborhood, easy parking on Mt Vernon Ave. Several interesting shops along the street worth visiting, for locals and visitors like myself. View all feedback.

A minor bummer of an evening. The food was fine (supermarket level tortillas and un bold spicing, but there was a nice balance of ingredients in the burrito). The service wasn't rude; they just didn't care. My burrito was brought cold, which, no problem, it happens but when I asked them to reheat it, they stuck the whole plate in the microwave and brought it back with warm guacamole and pico! Food was not good the pork and beef flautas were dry and had a horrible after taste.
