Buffos is an institution in HIGHWOOD, with a mostly local clientele. I am sure that years ago, when the food was made fresh in-house, the reputation was warranted. These days, the food is average reminiscent of Sysco ready-made dishes. I cannot speak for the pizza, but the other apps and dishes are nothing to write home about.
