I'm from the Bay area but everytime I come visit family I would drop by here to support this small family business, the owner is so sweet and nice always puts a smile on my face. I usually pick up a variety box and the owner would hook it up with some donut holes if there was extra and she would fill it up with custard if she had extra. We have been here a few times and normally the donuts are good, which is why I did not give 1 star, but today, we purchased $10 in donuts and there was an awful taste to them. One family member said the donuts tasted like they were cooked in shrimp oil, another said it seemed like a chemical was mixed in the oil, and neither of the kids, who LOVE donuts, ate more than one bite.
