Located near beautiful Summerville Beach, this establishment is commonly known as the 'Dairy Treat'. Ask anyone in the area, and they will recommend getting takeout to enjoy a beach picnic. The ambience is reminiscent of a Dairy Queen, and while the flavor was not exceptional, the food was hot and fresh. The best dish was the ice cream, while the fish and chips, fried clams, and chocolate sundae were average. Service was efficient, and diners can order at an outdoor window or inside at the counter. Seating is limited inside, making it a great spot for a day out and about. Other highlights include an excellent scallop burger, a variety of seafood options, and large portions at reasonable prices. Lately the clams havs been very good and fresh. The fish has been good too. Fries are boring. Good coleslaw. Good ice cream. My only issue lately is one of the staff who answers the phones. She obviously doesn’t want to be working. She is rude, cold, and makes you feel small for asking questions. I get anxious every time I have to call because I hope she doesn’t answer.
