Palki Khana, located near the City Palace in Udaipur, offers a mixed dining experience according to several online reviews. Some diners were extremely disappointed with the limited menu choices and inauthentic food, such as overly sweet mint ice tea and small portions. Others found the location of the restaurant appealing, especially for a chilled beer, and enjoyed dishes like Rajma Chawal and Pasta. The quality of the ingredients used in the food, such as olive oil in the pizza crust, was praised by a few visitors. The views of the City Palace from the outdoor seating area were highlighted as a major draw for patrons, while the ambience and variety of drinks offered were generally well-received. However, some reviewers mentioned that the prices at Palki Khana were on the higher side. Overall, the restaurant seems to be popular for its scenic location and certain menu items, despite mixed reviews about the food quality and service.
The Palki Khana is indeed a good choice, which is also seen by the previous visitors with an average rating of 3.2.
What Anshu Chad likes about Palki Khana:
Palki Khana is the best place to have a meal after a tiring day of seeing the beautiful city palace. It is usually bustling with people so you have to be lucky enough to get a table. The staff is courteous and friendly. Food is really good. We ordered fresh lime soda, gingerale, garlic bread and shepherd's pie. Fresh lime was made to perfection with the right amount of ice. The portion sizes were good enough. This is... View all feedback.
What Amrit Preet Singh doesn't like about Palki Khana:
Extremely disappointed. Lazy menu, almost no choices. The food is the most standard, inauthentic fare you will find anywhere. Mint ice tea was just sugar syrup with nothing natural whatsoever. And they take only cash, making some excuse about network coverage. Is clearly another of the many, many places in Udaipur that are so used to getting customers that they just don't care.
