I had been aware for many years of St Kyran's as a Guest House but only recently discovered it is also an open restaurant for non-residents. It is situated on the main N3 Dublin-Cavan-Enniskillen-Donegal road, just one mile south of Virginia town, so it is an excellent location for breaking a long journey and having a meal. Dined here recently as had some Friends home on Holiday from the USA and wanted them to enjoy the taste of Cavan. Unfortunately we either picked a bad night or whatever as the quality of food did not match our expectations ,Some had Chicken which was just ok others had what was supposed to be Thai Red Curry but seemed far more like a dry stir fry .... 2 more had Steaks which were good. we all agreed that the food did...
