La Nueva Casita is a good restaurant. Located in the Mesquite district, across the street from Klein Park. It's been in business for a long time, and the food shows. It's down home, family cooking. It's mostly consistent, although if there was ANY fault, the gordita meat was overcooked and either sitting for a while, or left in the pan a bit too long, giving it a burned taste. The food and service was delicious. The only thing I would say is that a few updates are needed. Our cups were worn out plastic cups could not drink from because the rims were rough and cracked had to use a straw. View all feedback.
