Queens Grill is the elegant basement restaurant located in the famous Leeds hotel of the same name. The building, which has been a hotel since the 1930s, recently underwent a £10 million renovation to enhance its art deco grandeur. The restaurant now seamlessly combines modern sophistication with classic luxury, featuring a stylish neutral décor and dark wood parquet flooring. As a tribute to the building's history, the kitchen takes pride in serving traditional Yorkshire dishes alongside its world-class Modern European menu. Some of our favorite dishes include the risotto of Morecambe Bay shrimps with salmon and garden peas, herb-crusted beef medallions with potato fondant, creamed leeks, and red wine jus, and the rhubarb and apple crumble paired with a touch of 'proper' custard.
London Road Restaurant and Wine Bar in Alderley Edge, Cheshire, offers a mixed experience according to recent reviews. One diner had a booking mishap, arriving to find the restaurant closed for breakfast despite having a reservation. However, another guest had a lovely experience for their mother's birthday, with excellent service and a special dessert. The food received high praise, with one customer indicating confusion over the bill calculations but vowing to return. On Sundays, the live music was deemed too loud and the service lacking, though the food was good.
