Went to St. John Maltby while on holiday in London and it was a true treat. My partner and I had never eaten at a nose to tail restaurant before but we were not disappointed. Great wine selection, including their own personal stock, and it paired very well with the food. The highlight of the meal was the anchovy pâté on toast, great combination of flavors. We ate at St. John in Clerkenwell twenty years ago and couldn't see what it was about. We thought we'd try again as we were in the neighborhood of the Maltby Street branch. We ordered lamb that was so raw that we could not get our knives through them, while we would normally order meat rarely, this was simply unusable, so we had to send it back.
