Pellegrini's in Melbourne is a landmark culinary cafe that has been serving up simple Italian food for generations. While some may argue that the food quality has declined over the years, others still find it to be a quirky and authentic dining experience. The pasta dishes are plentiful and satisfying, with the lasagna and tiramisu being standout choices. The atmosphere is bustling and busy, reminiscent of a true Italian eatery. While the service is friendly and prompt, some diners have experienced issues with the food quality and incorrect orders. Overall, Pellegrini's is a must-visit for those looking for a taste of old-school Italian charm in the heart of Melbourne.
Based on the average rating of 4, the Pellegrinis Espresso Bar is definitely worth a visit.
What mariaalessandra likes about Pellegrinis Espresso Bar:
I am very picky with my coffees and at Pellegrini’s I just had the best latte in YEARS. The coffee was aromatic and intense but not burned. The foam was the right amount y, and it was thick and substantial, not a ton of fluffy nothingness. I also had a slice of their almond-chocolate cake, which was fresh and delicious. Lighter than a pound cake, the perfect complement to my latte. View all feedback.
What Kyoko M doesn't like about Pellegrinis Espresso Bar:
This must be the worst pasta I ever had in a restaurant. Ordered bolognese pasta. Spaghetti was overcooked and the sauce was watery. No taste. Had the impression the pasta had been boiled ages ago. I could not eat half of it even though I was hungry. Tiramisu had no sugar at all and even tasted a bit bitter. Coffee was watery and disgusting. So disappointing. Also didn't like that you can't find out the price beforeh... View all feedback.
