My partner and I decided to give the village café a try after deciding to no longer frequent Wetherspoons and support local businesses. It was a good decision as the café was small and very clean. We perused the menu, which was not very extensive, and quickly made our meal selections. To our surprise, we had to pay by card before receiving our food. This policy seemed odd to us, perhaps to prevent diners from leaving without paying.
