Located in the breathtaking Red Rocks country just 17 miles southwest of Denver on Hwy 285, The Fort is a faithful replica of Bent's Fort, the esteemed American fur trade post dating back to 1833-1849 in Colorado. The historical significance of this site is undeniable, as it was a hub for the Cheyenne, Arapahoe, Kiowa, and Pawnee tribes to engage in culturally rich and peaceful trade. Recognized on the National Registry of Historic Places, The Fort pays homage to the diverse cultures that once thrived at Bent's Old Fort. Our diverse menu showcases New Foods of the Old West, with top-notch cuts of buffalo, elk, and quail expertly grilled to perfection. Vegetarian offerings inspired by traditional American Indian recipes, such as the Three Sacred Sisters (Corn, Beans, and Squash), are also available. The wine selection, honored by Wine Spectator yearly, complements our delectable dishes perfectly. The restaurant boasts nine charming dining rooms with cozy seating, each equipped with real adobe beehive fireplaces that add a touch of warmth during the colder months. Unwind in our romantic atmosphere and admire the stunning views of the Valley and Mountains for an unforgettable dining experience.

What User doesn't like about The Fort:
The food was good, but very heavy even the vegan alternative. I ordered a Negroni. I’m admittedly picky about them, and it wasn’t on the menu, but it was one of the most bland and uninteresting Negroni I have ever had and it cost 1/3 more than most. I’d recommend The Fort for Happy Hour outside in the Summer order a drink that is featured on the menu! View all feedback.
